The Elite Combat is sheathed in intricately layered armor, the color of which will often indicate rank. Elites are imbued with monstrous strength rivaling that which is generated by MJOLNIR battle armor. Though once staunch proponents of the Covenant agenda, typically occupying command positions, the Elites were betrayed by their leaders; the Elites ultimately allied with humankind, and were replaced in the Covenant hierarchy by Brutes.
